| Hitokiri Battousai |
| The first (and best, I think) anime/sumi-e scroll I did. When I decided I'd do anime scrolls I KNEW I had to do Kenshin fanart...The style and the setting lends itself to the chinese painting medium so well!!! I also had a gold powder (used for outlining flowers) which I used on Kenshin's hitokiri eyes... (swoon, shudder, ooh) ^_^ Debuted and sold at Anime Expo 2001. There was calligraphy on the final version of the sold scroll; it was a piece of prose composed by my dad, saying something to the extent of 'The waters of the lake reflect the image of a hero; the bamboo stand straight and frame his heroic aura' ... gomen..my chinese translating sucks... |
